Drag me to Hell -2009

One of the best movies I have ever seen.

A séance scene with a type of goat (identical to baphomet) and a surprising ending are  impressive, such also the graveyard scene.

Drag Me to Hell is a 2009 American supernatural horror movie directed and written by Sam Raimi. It stars Alison Lohman ( as Christine Brown), Justin Long, Lorna Raver, Dileep Rao, David Paymer, and Adriana Barraza. Christine Brown (Alison Lohman) has a loving boyfriend (Justin Long) and a great job at a Los Angeles bank. But her heavenly life becomes hellish when, in an effort to impress her boss, she denies an old woman's (Sylvia Ganush) request for an extension on her home loan. Christine is cursed in retaliation, threatening her soul with eternal damnation. She wants a psychic to help her break the curse, but the price to save her soul may be more than she can pay.

The woman, Mrs Ganush, violently attacks Christine in the parking lot. She takes a button off Christine's coat and curses it. Later, Christine and her boyfriend Clay visit a fortune teller. They find out that Christine is now haunted by a dark spirit.

Christine tries to ask Ganush for forgiveness, but she discovers that she has died. A sacrifice may help appease the demon, suggests the fortune teller. Christine hesitantly sacrifices her cat kitten. Unfortunately, even that method fails. All hope seems lost when the possibility of banishing the entity via a séance delivers greater failure.

The story of the film is inspired by the British horror film 'Night of the Demon,' such as the similar-shaped demons and the three-day curse theme.

This movie won two awards at the 2009 Scream Awards and the 2010 Saturn Awards.
